Rumaana Bham Speech Therapy and Audiology is based in Houghton Estate, Johannesburg. The intention of the practice is to provide quality speech therapy and audiology services, and to ensure our patients develop growth mindsets to reach their full potential.

Rumaana Bham completed her BA Speech and Hearing Therapy degree from The University of the Witwatersrand in 2016. She attained the Golden Key Award and was the first runner-up for the AB Clemons Award for the best honours research in Speech Therapy (2016). She then went on to complete her community service year at Bheki Mlangeni District Hospital in 2017.

Wanting to further her academic knowledge, she completed a Master’s Degree in Audiology (by Research) at The University of the Witwatersrand in 2019. Her thesis covered the topic ‘The Developmental Outcomes of Children Previously Enrolled in a Risk-Based Hearing Screening Programme’. Rumaana presented the pre-liminary results of this study at the 34th World Congress of Audiology in Cape Town in 2018.

Rumaana has worked in private practice since 2019. She is a therapist who working holistically and is open-minded and committed. Rumaana is registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
